Party!Party!

Any time any place the Super Sleuths are on the case. Cherish had a My Friends Tigger and Pooh party for her 6th birthday. It was a huge success. Here are those stinking Bit O Honey. Although they cost me way too much time and money they do look cute.

This year we decided to get a bounce house this year and it was a huge hit. The kids jumped and jumped. Every time they got a chance they were running back in.
Grandma made another one of her delicious and cute cakes. Yum Yum. Thanks Grandma!! The party wouldn't be a party without your cake.
The Pinata was too much fun it wasn't very strong though. Only half the kids got a chance to hit it.
Happy Birthday to you.
Make a wish!
What a fun party! I'm just a little happy it's over.

President's Day

For President's day we decided to take advantage of the rain and cold weather and headed for the mountains. We decided to go to Palm Springs because we had heard great things about the air tram that takes you into the mountains. We had never been to Palm Springs before so it wold be perfect.

We got all bundled up and ready for the cold. Izzy had so many layers on she reminded me of the kid in A Christmas Story that fell down in his snow suit and couldn't get up.

Cherish was able to make he first snow angel.
We had a snow ball fight. The snow didn't stick very well so it was like we were throwing powder at each other. We also met some great people that let us use their sled. Cherish had a great time.
Izzy on the other had...not so much. She was miserable from the moment we walked out into the snow. It was cold hard snow so it wasn't pleasant.

This is a video of Izzy sharing her thoughts on the cold and snow. She didn't like it too much. Right after this we went back up to lodge. It seams it was too cold for her liking.

Happy Birthday Cherish!!

Our little princess is growing up. It is a great day to reflect on what a great big blessing my wonderful Cherish is in my life. Thanks Cherish for all of the good times and smiles.
She has always been a bundle of smiles.

She had a wonderful party on Saturday. I'll post more about it later. Thanks to everyone that came.
Here is another of Jose's famous self portraits that we took this morning before Cherish's left for school. Happy Birthday Cherish!! We love you!

Why Do I Do The Things I Do?!?

How much is Bit O' Honey worth? Bit o Honey is a candy I enjoyed a ton as s kid and every Halloween it is the first thing I steal from Cherish's loot. I haven't bought them in some time but I had remembered seeing them in the past at all the major retailers. So when I started to plan Cherish's 6Th birthday party with a My Friends Tigger and Pooh theme I had a wonderful idea. I bought a honey pot on ebay and I decided to fill it with Bit o Honey. I went to Target to pick up a bag on Tuesday and they didn't carry them. So I went to CVS, no luck there either. All in all I went to two Targets, two CVSs, two Smart and Finals, Big Lots, 99Cents Only, Sweet Factory, two Rite Aids, two Ralph's, Alberson's and Vons with no luck. I looked online and I found it but I would have had to over night it and it would have cost $49 for shipping. This morning I was talking to Kristen, Izzy's therapist (to help her with her walking or lack there of), I mentioned that I was looking for Bit o Honey and Honey Sticks (which I had seen at Trader Joes but when I went there they has discontinued them) She Mentioned that she had gotten Bit o Honey earlier in the week at Knott's Berry Farm and that they sold honey sticks at the farmer's market in Huntington Beach which just happened to be going on today from 12:00 to dusk. She also mentioned that their was a candy store that might carry Bit O Honey right on main street. So off we went on our adventure. I got my quarters for the meeter and off we went. We got there and we found the candy store and they had them. They charged $1.35 for seven little pieces but they had them and at this point I just wanted to finish my idea. So I bought 4 bags and off I went to the farmers market where I found the honey sticks. Yeah I got it all. I was excited that I was able to find what I had been looking for. I get an idea in my head and I just can't let it go. So with honey in hand I started back to car and thought about how much time was on my meeter and I realized that I had never put the quarters in. NOOOOOO!!!!!! So off we ran to the car with our fingers crossed. Luck was not on my side. So after a $45 parking ticket, I might as well have paid the $49 shipping fee. Oh well. I guess all I can do is smile and remind myself that it really isn't that serious if my pot isn't full of Bit O Honey.

Baby Monster

This is a little game that Cherish LOVES to play with Izzy. It just makes me smile. I love to watch them play together. Isn't Izzy's laugh contagious.

All Things Fancy

A couple of weeks ago we went to the local library for a Fancy Nancy party with a couple of friends. I couldn't belive how many people were there. The room was so full they had girls spilling out into the hall.
The girls had a great time. Any excuse to get fancy is all they need.

Cleaning=Good Times

It has become a tradition in our house that Jose and Cherish clean the kitchen floor. Jose makes it quite the event. First they poor water all over the floor and then they add the soap. They spread it around and scrub the dirty parts and then they mop up the water. Cherish LOVES it and the floors get clean(and I don't have to do it) Win, Win. This Week Izzy got in on the action. Let's just say she had Good Times.
She loved pouring water on the floor. She would dump it out as quickly as we could give it to her.
She always made a habit of asking for more.
I think she enjoyed herself.
